“Friendship? Yes Please.”

By , On , In Lifestyle

There is a saying:

” Tell me who your best friends are, and I will tell you who you are.”

If you associate with positive, motivated, driven people it can only rub off on you and make you more successful in anything you do.

If you surround yourself with bunch of unhealthy, negative friends that pretty much says that you are unhealthy and negative or you are well on your way to be that way.

Mark Twain once said,

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”

Sometimes in life we outgrow our friends as we age and mature. Yes it’s sad, but it is also a fact of life. In high school and college everyone wants to have fun and live carefree. With time, most of us realize that there comes a time to grow up and get serious.

However, not everyone finds that same sense of responsibility and that drive to succeed in life. If you have friends who fall into this category I have some bad news for you!

Cut them loose.

I know what you might be thinking….. harsh advice .

Well, at first it might seam that way,but I promise in a long run it will prove to be your best bet.

It’s not possible to change people- no matter how hard you try.

From personal experience I can tell you that people who are unmotivated, lazy, negative and full of excuses will only hold you back.

If you want to accomplish your goals, if you want to get to the top in any aspect of your life, you have to surround yourself with like minded people.

New year usually brings some new goals and resolutions.

I challenge you to look around you and evaluate who your friends are. Are they the reflection of who you inspire to be?

If you want to become more healthy and fit you better surround yourself with people who want to do the same.

There is a huge amount of work that goes into changing your lifestyle.

It requires dedication, discipline, and a large amount of desire.

If the people you choose to spend your time with do not share these same qualities or have the same passion to excel as you do, you must get rid of them immediately.

If your friends truly care about you they will embrace your new attitude and passion to succeed. If they feel threaten by your ambitions and actions they will try to ridicule you and hold you back.

Now you know…the decision is up to you.

“Keep company with good men, and you’ll increase their number.”

Stay fit.
