Immune Booster Smoothie

This smoothie is sooooo delicious! Don’t let the ingredients fool you :-)

Give it a try and find out for yourself.

Kale Spinach and Pear Smoothie

1 heaping cup spinach leaves

1 heaping cup chopped kale leaves

1/2 pear

1  banana

3 tablespoons hemp protein (or your favorite protein powder)

1 tablespoon spirulina powder (optional)

1 1/2 cups cold almond milk (or soy milk )

1 tablespoon agave nectar

4 cubes of ice

I use my VitaMix Blender, which is the Lamborghini of all blenders. It’s super powerful therefore there is no need to cut fruit or veggies. This way you can get all the benefits from your produce – no waste!

If you are using a normal blender make sure you first remove kale leaves from their rough center stalk and coarsely chop. In a blender, combine kale spinach and almond milk.  Blend until no big kale bits remain.  Stop blender and add banana, hemp protein, spirulina, agave nectar, pear and ice.  Blend until smooth.  Enjoy immediately.

  • Nice recipe guys! I’ll have to try this one. Have either of you been juicing at all? Just started, have been enjoying the fresh carrot/apple juice in morning when I have time.
